About the role
In line with Voices GY’s commitment to education (especially e-learning) for vulnerable and marginalised communities, we are excited to embark on a short project with the US Embassy in Guyana to boost leadership and orientation among refugee and migrant populations. Six short e-modules will be produced in Spanish and Haitian Creole on key topics, for immediate public access.
The Graphic Designer for E-Learning represents a short-term consultancy as part of the Voices GY Project Team. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for converting course scripts and concepts into a professional standard, SCORM-compliant e-learning course through the use of authoring tools and design software including Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator. The role requires a dynamic and knowledgeable professional who is able to show initiative, creativity and flexibility in working with Voices GY and our project counterparts.
The consultancy is expected to produce all outputs within 10 weeks of commencement.
Duties and Responsibilities

Create the design, animation and audios of six (6) explainer videos of 30-60 seconds in length, for insertion into the e-learning course, considering the use of voice over, soundtracks and ambient music.

Use E-Learning Authoring Tools to curate the graphic and interactive elements of the e-course, including creating and compiling still and animated graphics, games and learning activities, with content and artistic instruction provided by the Project Lead.

Presentation of 2 versions of all course materials (including explainer videos) in 2 different languages (Spanish and Haitian Creole).

Make modifications in collaboration with the Voices GY Project Team and Partner until partner satisfaction is ensured.

Follow and apply specific guidelines provided by Voices GY related to the visual identity of the project and partners (US Government Funding)

Payment Method:
Payment will be made as a lump-sum upon confirmation from Voices GY of receipt and final approval of the following deliverables. The consultant is invited to propose the weight of each payment in the financial proposal.

Development of a design concept/theme for the e-learning modules given the available content.

Development of two (6), 30-60 second explainer videos with original graphics and with copies in Spanish and Haitian Creole.

Design and compilation of graphics, illustrations, animations and learning activities for six, 20-minute e-learning modules (in English and Spanish).
Requirements

Undergraduate degree in graphic design, web design, instructional design, education and technology, or related field. An advanced degree in e-learning education and/or learning content management or related fields would be an asset.

A minimum of 4 years of professional working experience in graphic or digital design (required)

A minimum of two years of experience with instructional/e-learning design (required)

Demonstrable experience with authoring tools (Articulate Storyline 360) and working with animated content and videos with software such as Adobe After Effects.

Ability to coordinate information flow with multiple sources (Project Team, admin staff, partner counterparts etc.)

Ability to translate and produce audio and text content in one or more of Spanish and Haitian Creole.

Working experience in the non-profit sector and/or with migration issues is desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English or/and Spanish. Language skills in Haitian Creole or French would also be an asset.
