About the role

In line with Voices GY’s commitment to education (especially e-learning) for vulnerable and marginalised communities, we are excited to embark on a short project with the US Embassy in Guyana to boost leadership and orientation among refugee and migrant populations. Six short e-modules will be produced in Spanish and Haitian Creole on key topics, for immediate public access.

The Graphic Designer for E-Learning represents a short-term consultancy as part of the Voices GY Project Team. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for converting course scripts and concepts into a professional standard, SCORM-compliant e-learning course through the use of authoring tools and design software including Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator. The role requires a dynamic and knowledgeable professional who is able to show initiative, creativity and flexibility in working with Voices GY and our project counterparts.

The consultancy is expected to produce all outputs within 10 weeks of commencement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create the design, animation and audios of six (6) explainer videos of 30-60 seconds in length, for insertion into the e-learning course, considering the use of voice over, soundtracks and ambient music.

  • Use E-Learning Authoring Tools to curate the graphic and interactive elements of the e-course, including creating and compiling still and animated graphics, games and learning activities, with content and artistic instruction provided by the Project Lead.

  • Presentation of 2 versions of all course materials (including explainer videos) in 2 different languages (Spanish and Haitian Creole).

  • Make modifications in collaboration with the Voices GY Project Team and Partner until partner satisfaction is ensured.

  • Follow and apply specific guidelines provided by Voices GY related to the visual identity of the project and partners (US Government Funding)
